There's so much more to Yoga than touching your toes or being up-side down. It looks cool, that's for sure. However, you should do it to FEED your SOUL. The cool thing is that any path you want to follow is a GOOD one as long as you choose your OWN.
Practicing yoga isn't always as easy. Obviously, there are some days when it's a challenge. But hey, if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you. Creating more awareness and self-realisation and to deepen that, is to PRACTICE. And practice can be done in many different ways.
It isn't always easy, and you go through phases with the love of your life. For me the YOGIC life is like a long-term/life relationship so it's not always the honeymoon stuff you see with the ‘Yoga stars’ on Instagram. Having a humble and quiet practice, is a practice.
Try new things - repeat old ones. Grab every possibility to LEARN and GROW. Because even after you have rolled up your mat. Yoga CONTINUOUS. " Yogic sleep "
YOGA NIDRA is state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and you should become systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions.
' Yoga Sutra's '
For me the foundations of yoga philosophy were written down in the YOGA SUTRA's. Widely regarded as the authoritative text on yoga. It's a collection of aphorisms, an outlining of the eight limbs of yoga. These "threads" (as sutra translates from Sanskrit) of wisdom offer guidelines for living a meaningful and purposeful life.
' Lifeforce Control '
The power of BREATHING is actually quit cool as it's the foundation for life.
It brings clarity to the mind and good health to the body. Practicing breath-work makes one energetic, enthusiastic and positive after.
NOTE: it is important to practice pranayama as taught in classes. Experimenting with these techniques is not advisable. As in case of any medical condition it's advisable to do so after consulting a doctor.
