Convincing people why they should or shouldn’t do things isn’t the way for me. I feel like SHARING my experiences since I started Reiki is a better way.
How I started
Practicing Yoga -asana (postures) is where we already bring up things to the surface that need healing. Reiki can help move the energetic residue of feelings and memories, transforming them into what’s of our highest evolvement.I’ve been noticing that Reiki markedly supports my own yoga practice. I’ve noticed the biggest difference in my overall sense of stability and calmness, regardless the circumstances. When I face an event or a person that would normally stress me out, I now feel like I am observing it from outside and it doesn’t disturb me that much emotionally. Also, knowing I can practice Reiki whenever I need it makes me feel protected and independent.
Channelling the energy I developed was one thing, but I felt like I needed to share this energy in more ways to help others. Sharing this healing energy with others in Savasana, restorative poses, Yoga Nidra even throughout class is such a nice way of teaching. My students in class are often drawn to the practice to heal chronic pain, amongst others. While asana strengthens our physical body and meditation strengthens our mental body, Reiki can strengthen our emotional and energetic bodies in order to heal the root of our pain.
Reiki is an energy medicine that aims to help the flow of energy and remove blocks in a similar way to acupuncture or acupressure. Improving the flow of energy around the body CAN enable relaxation, reduce pain, speed healing, and reduce other symptoms of illness. Sometimes it may take more than one session to experience the effects of Reiki.
The Reiki treatment
A typical session of Reiki lasts for about 90 minutes at maximum. The healing art works by channelling positive energy into the body. This is possible by placing hands on (or above) affected areas of the body that need a boost, offering this energy. Your body takes in the energy where most needed. This is also possible with distant healing (remote healing). A technique that has affect even if it’s are many miles away.
